Deadpool Composite

June 2025, I took a series of shots of this cosplay reenactor in his Deadpool costume in the town centre.

You can see from the original image that the location isn’t the best and doesn’t really fit in with the cinematic quality of the character.

In 2012 I spent an afternoon cycling round the town taking shots that I could use in a collection of backgrounds. I took photos of walls, doors, shutters, the backs of shops, then I cycled up to the industrial area and took photos of shutters, loading bays, industrial units, containers.

Finally I took a ride out into the countryside and did the same around some farms.

Every so often I will delve back in to that background collection when working on a  composite image. They have served me well for over a decade.

In my composite image I used a photo of round corrugated metal grain storage silo. I added some text to it.

I colour graded the image  and made it look like a night shot. I added some light shafts, some floating fire embers and some mist.
